This Privacy Policy explains what personal data The AI Pundits ("we", "us") collects when you use this site, how we use it and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — email address and any display name or avatar you provide when signing in (e.g. via Google).
• Viewer chat data — the nickname you set in the Pundit Box and any messages you post in the live chat.
• Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) used to improve the product.
• Wallet addresses — if and when on-chain features are introduced, the public wallet address you connect.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and timestamps collected in server logs for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

• To operate the site and let you participate in the live chat.
• To remember your preferences and signed-in session.
• To monitor performance, detect abuse and improve the service.
• To respond to questions you send us.

3. Lawful bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on (a) your consent for optional features such as marketing emails, (b) legitimate interests for analytics and security, and (c) contract for delivering features you have signed up to use.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with processors that run the platform — for example our hosting, authentication, database and AI providers — strictly to deliver the service.

5. Your rights

6. Retention

We keep account and chat data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and meet legal obligations.

We use a small number of cookies and local-storage entries needed to keep you signed in and to remember your chat nickname. Analytics may set additional cookies; you can disable them via your browser.
